2020 Decorative Carver of the Year Winners - Intermediate and Novice

In a year of challenges, there was one IWCA Affiliate Member organization that was able to safely host the judging of the hand-carried and mailed-in entries. The Core Sound Decoy Festival scheduled for December 5th, has been postposted until 2021. However a private judging was held indoors, while the public remained out of doors due to restrictions.

Hats off to Core Sound for making the 2020 IWCA Decorative Carver of the Year possible, for both intermediate and novice carvers to earn points with their winning decorative entries levels.

Intermediate Decorative Carvers of the Year:

1st Place - 135 points - Lisa Strang, Chocowinity, NC

2nd Place - 75 points - Gerald Beatty, Midland, GA

3rd Place - 40 Points - Stan Rule - Beaufort, NC

Novice Carver of the Year:

1st Place - 75 points - Holbert Myers - Durham, NC
