The Wisconsin Waterfowl Association will host the 2022 IWCA Style Decoy Championship on August 27th in Oshkosh, WI during their Decoy Carving Contest. Entries will be accepted on Friday and Saturday morning. Hope to see you and your entries there!
The host of the 2022 IWCA Style Shorebird Decoy Championship is IWCA Affiliate Member Wildfowl Carving Championships. This venue is virtual and requires specific photo views to be submitted for judging on September 24th. You can learn more about Wildfowl Carving Championships at their website. Rules, FAQ, and Tips pages will be very helpful. To enter you must register on the website. IWCA Membership is required, so be sure your IWCA dues are paid in full BEFORE entering the championship. You can pay your IWCA Membership fees (renewal or new registration) after registering. Good Luck in the competition!
Two IWCA Members have begun accruing points for 2022 Decorative Carver of the Year at the Intermediate and Novice levels. Points include those attained from the ODCCA Show in March.

The next IWCA Affiliate Member competition will be Wildfowl Carving Championships. Entries accepted July 22 - August 14th. Don’t forget to renew your IWCA Membership BEFORE the competitions in order to accrue points. Online IWCA Membership registrations and renewals can be made after registering for free on the WCC website.
Be sure and check your email after registration at Wildfowl Carving Championships website, for the authorization email which verifies your email address.
This year's IWCA Affiliate Member Show list is shaping up well. All five of the 2022 IWCA Championship events will be hosted by the IWCA Affiliate Member Shows listed below:
The Ohio Decoy Collectors and Carvers Association (ODCCA) have scheduled their event for March 18, 19, 20 in Independence, Ohio.
Wildfowl Carving Championships will begin accepting entries on July 22 through August 14, with judging on August 20. WCC will host the 2022 IWCA Style Shorebird Decoy Championship.
Wisconsin Waterfowl Association will hold their competition August 26-27 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The WWA will host the 2022 IWCA Style Decoy Championship.
The Columbia Flyway Wildlife Show will hold their event on September 30 through October 2 in Astoria, Oregon. The CFWS will host the 2022 IWCA Working Decoy Championship.
Catawba Valley Wood Carvers Show will be held on October 22 in Hickory, North Carolina. CVWC will host the 2022 IWCA Canvas Decoy Championship.
Core Sound Decoy Festival will hold their event on December 3-4 in Harkers Island, North Carolina. Core Sound will host the 2022 Young Guns Championship.

This just in. Wildfowl Carving Championships has extended the entries deadline to April 2, 2021 for their first ever virtual championships. No limit to the number of entries, no time limits on when the entries were carved. In other words, if you carved it in 2000, and you feel it can compete at the level you are competing today, enter it! The more entries there are in a division, the higher the prize money will be for all levels of competition, except Junior level. Prize Money paid to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
